It is how we communicate and understand one another. It is an essential part of what makes us human. On occassion, though, language can provide us with some dumb laughs - laughs of the mistranslation variety. Take the movies we've assembled here, for example, all of whose titles were changed for release in foreign markets. Translate those titles back into English, though, and the results can often prove both bizarre and questionable. How did they end up like this? 13. "If You Leave Me, I Delete You" - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - Italy

eternal sunshine This title certainly has a nice, post-modern edge to it, though we're not entirely sure that the harsh and somewhat clinical delivery you might associate with the words If You Leave Me, I Delete You fits the ultimately life-affirming Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Written with the crude urgency of a 19th century telegram, this Italian title still packs an undeniable punch. And at least this one captures the relative essence of the movie it's attached to, which we sadly can't say for some of the other inclusions on this list...
