6. Action Man Weaponry - Legion
How to spoil a perfectly good movie poster, which is an even bigger crime when you consider that the over-achieving poster was for awful angelic actioner Legion, starring Paul Bettany as the angel version of John McClane or something. The image of a black winged angel looking up into heaven, his eyes filled with a mix of anticipation, longing and something else entirely intangible, is a good one, and the poster would have been great had they stopped there. But then the first artist must have gone home for the day, and his replacement must have decided that Bettany would look much better if he had a knife and way-too-shiny machine gun jammed into his hands like action man and his unsuitable grip for accessories. The gun is the wrong colour, and is overly lit, and neither the knife or the gun are held in a way that suggests the angel actually knows how to use them, with the gun in particular looking like a dirty pair of knickers hes just picked up with disgust from his kitchen floor.
