13 Hyped Movie Roles That Were Total Cop-Outs

Some might say that Mark Hamill's non-role as Luke Skywalker was the big disappointment of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but that'd be overlooking the presence of The Raid stars Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman.

When the three martial artists were cast in unknown roles in J.J. Abrams' sci-fi sequel, fans were ecstatically excited that we'd get to see them combine their signature brutal fight choreography with lightsabers.

As it turned out, the trio appeared in the film for a single scene as members of the crime syndicate Kanjiklub, who are promptly slaughtered by some escaped rathtars before they can do anything.

As cute as it was to see The Raid stars in the film, it should be criminal to cast them in such passive roles. Abrams knew that fans would be expecting backflips with lightsabers, and we got next to nothing. Shameful.
