The Illuminati will never be the same in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as they are in the Marvel comic books. The likes of Beast, Professor Xavier, Mister Fantastic and Namor the Sub-Mariner have all been members of the secret group in the comic books and Marvel Studios don't have the rights to those characters - but a movie version could still undoubtedly be portrayed. Characters like Tony Stark, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Captain America, Bruce Banner, Black Bolt and Hank Pym could all be members of a live action version - and it would be pretty cool if Tony Stark eventually opted to focus his attention on working from behind the scenes with the powerful group. With the Infinity Gems (Stones) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it would make sense to bring in the Illuminati after the Infinity Gauntlet movie(s), so that each member could look after one of them to keep them safe and out of the hands of villains. In fact, for all we know, the Illuminati could already have been formed!
