You don't need to be told that Scott Lang is an unconventional hero - though that's the tagline most media outlets will go with. He's not super, he's not even morally unblemished (though he is justly motivated) and it looks like he goes from criminal of necessity to action hero thanks to his stay in Seagate. Even after the rough-housing shown in the trailer, he's not a Tom Hardy-like mountain of muscles - though Paul Rudd went through some serious training to go from slightly portly Brian Fantana in Anchroman to super-ripped Fight Club-like physique (that stance can't be an accident either)...

There's something very Cape Fear Robert De Niro about that physique too: Lang isn't supposed to be cut from the same hero cloth as Captain America, he's more edgy; wiry and sinewy because of his circumstances, and he requires some finesse in fighting (which is presumably where Hope comes in). Hopefully there will be some hints to Luke Cage in the prison sequences, and it seems assured that the Mandarin - the real one - is going to pop up again...
