2. Kane Hodder Terrified Locals Dressed As Jason
Kane Hodder, the actor who plays Jason the most throughout the franchise, is no stranger to channelling his inner Voorhees when it comes to situations off screen. A popular story is that of a thief that tried to steal the hockey mask prop whilst filming Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan as Hodder was resting on a bench between takes, only to get a clobber from Hodder that sent him down so hard he smacked his head off the curb. Fair. But there's another story from Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood that's just as good...
Apparently, whilst walking back from filming at 2:00AM on a dirt track, Hodder was approached by a local asking if he was with the Friday the 13th filming. Bear in mind, this mammoth man is dressed in full Jason gear and knackered from a day of filming - it's a stupid question that wins the stupid prize of a grunt and a lunge from Hodder. The local is sent tripping over his own feet to never be seen again.
Turns out the next day that Hodder scared off the sheriff of the town who was supposed to be visiting the set, who then never showed his face again.
