13 Movies So Awful You Walked Out Of The Cinema

11. Avatar: The Last Airbender

The Last Airbender's biggest crime was that it simply wasn't the movie that anyone wanted. Fans of the Avatar anime series were heart-broken with the way M Night Shyamalan fudged the wonderful source material (starting by white-washing the cast), and Shyamalan's (probably too committed) fans got none of the pillars of his film-making.

As a result, The Last Airbender - whose name was changed to avoid confusion and simultaneously limited its marketing appeal by meaning nothing to almost everyone - was not only the director's worst reviewed movie, but also Nickelodeon's. And it was so offensively disappointing (and disappointingly offensive) that it upset a lot of people enough for them to walk out.

And think of the poor folks who read about it being Avatar and wrongly went in thinking they were about to see more of the big blue aliens who crashed the box office. Because you know for a fact that they were amongst the walk-outs.
