13 People You Didn't Know Were In The Marvel Cinematic Universe
6. Natalie Dormer
Along with The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones is one of the biggest television phenomena of the current generation. Based on George R.R Martin's A Song Of Ice And Fire series of novels, the show is a reasonably faithful adaptation of its source, though it has been deviating more and more over the last couple of years. Some of these deviations have been terrible, whilst some have been brilliant. One of the best has been the depiction of Margaery Tyrell, a fairly boring character in the books, as a shrewd and manipulative player in the titular 'game' of thrones. Played excellently by Natalie Dormer, the character, in tandem with her grandmother (Olenna Redwyne, played by Diana Rigg) has been one of the highlights of the King's Landing storylines over the last couple of years. Though also known for her role as Anne Boleyn in the Tudors, it has been Game of Thrones that has made Dormer a household name, making her short appearance in Captain America, where she plays a private that opts to engage in a spot of kissing with Chris Evan's titular chaarcter, come as something of a surprise to those who rewatch it.
