All 13 Pixar Theatrical Shorts: Ranked From Worst To Best

3. For The Birds (2000)

for the birds There is little to say about this short other than it's 3 minutes of the best kind of comedy gold, where it's the underdog who gets the last laugh. The little gossiping birds could be any one of the office clique members who fall silent whenever you approach the water cooler, another acutely observed Pixar character observation. You may not have noticed but the birds are indeed in the 2006 production Cars- as Lightning McQueen rests on the back of Mack, the birds sit atop a power line and are notable by their gossipy squeaking. Yet again, thanks to Ralph Eggleston, Pixar deservedly won another Oscar for this short animation.

I was raised by wolves in the woodlands of Northumberland, but am still posher than Colin Firth having dinner with The Queen. I write all of my pieces by swallowing a cocktail of scrabble tiles and vodka, then regurgitating them over my jotter. Hope this explains the typos.
