13 Star Wars Actors Who Were Also In Marvel Movies

Star Wars is the biggest film franchise of all-time. Marvel, meanwhile, has absolutely dominated the movie landscape over the last few years. It should come as no surprise, then, that many actors have - or indeed will - appear in both. Although none of the original cast have appeared in any of the Marvel movies to date, from the prequel trilogy right up to next year's standalone (sorry, Star Wars Story, ugh) Rogue One, and from a time before the comic-book house was the film giant it is today up to next year's Doctor Strange, there are plenty of similarities between the casts. As mentioned, they're both huge, thus able to attract a similar calibre of actor, while now there's another link: the fact that both are owned by Disney. However, crossing these galaxies predates the Mouse House's purchase of both movie studios, and these are the actors who appeared a long time ago, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

13. Andy Serkis

The Actor: The best motion-capture actor on the planet, and the man perhaps more responsible than anyone else for the rise in the use of the technology and pushing the capabilities of it. Most well-known, of course, for his work as Gollum in Lord of the Rings. Role In Star Wars: He's been donning the mo-cap suit once again, this time to play Supreme Leader Snoke in The Force Awakens. Not an awful lot is known about the character at this stage, but expect him to look visually impressive, and to serve as the Emperor Palpatine of the new trilogy. Role In Marvel: A slightly rare live-action outing for Serkis saw him having a brief role as Ulysses Klaue (or Klaw) in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and ironically is the one to fall victim of Phase 2's homage to Star Wars by losing his arm. Despite that, he is still expected to return to the MCU for the Black Panther film, due out in 2018.
