3. Her Favourite Actors Include Jake Gyllenhaal & Reese Witherspoon
One of the most common questions just about every actor is asked is who their inspirations are as performers. Woodley has name-dropped four actors who she especially likes, in Jake Gyllenhaal, Ewan McGregor, Reese Witherspoon and Marcia Gay Harden. Though she hasn't worked with the former three actors yet, she did work with Harden on 2005's TV movie Felicity: An American Girl Adventure, and Harden had some kind words to say about Woodley when she started getting acclaim for her role in The Descendants. She said, In 2005 I had the great honor of playing Shailene Woodleys mother in Felicity: An American Girl Adventure. I was immediately impressed by her work ethic, both on and off set...Even then, she was working with a depth and caliber that separated her from so many other child actors. Indeed, she was an inspiration to all her cast. Not surprisingly, watching Shailene navigate the turbulent waters of The Descendants was again riveting. She is tasked with being at once emotionally vulnerable and raw, and yet somehow guarded and cynical in all the same moment...Shailene, as one of your many moms, thank you for teaching me valuable lessons as I watch you grow up. As for whether the actress will get to work with her three other acting heroes? Only time will tell.
