12. Jigsaw Was In The Bathroom The Entire Time - Saw
If anyone tells you they predicted Saw's mind-blowing final plot twist, they're absolutely lying.
The franchise-starting horror classic concludes with a few shocking rug-pulls, the most jaw-dropping of which reveals that the dead body in the middle of serial killer Jigsaw's grotty bathroom isn't actually a corpse at all.
Not only is this man alive, but this man is Jigsaw himself - a terminal cancer patient by the name of John Kramer (Tobin Bell) who appeared briefly in an earlier flashback, and has been secretly testing people's desire to live.
To make matters worse, Kramer then leaves the bathroom, locking a stunned, chained-up Adam (Leigh Whannell) inside with no possibility of escape. The End.
The twist may skirt the fringes of plausibility, but its sheer WTF impact more than compensates for it, creating a franchise of sequels which sought desperately to one-up that initial twist - and largely failed.
