13 Unlikely Movies That Might Exist 10 Years From Now

9. A Twilight Or Hunger Games Reboot

Why It's Unlikely: First and foremost, there's no real precedent for re-adapting young adult novels for a new generation with a new cast and crew, and so studios may prefer instead to take the spin-off approach to Twilight and The Hunger Games, given the wider worlds both franchises frequently tipped their hat to.

Why It Might Happen: Then again, if Spider-Man and Fantastic Four can get quickie reboots less than a decade after the fact, why not Twilight and The Hunger Games, which wrapped up in 2012 and 2015 respectively?

The tweens who grew up with these movies will have long moved on by the mid 2020s, allowing Lionsgate to re-exploit these books for a whole new audience who have probably never even heard of them.

Never doubt Hollywood's ability to be as cynical as possible when it comes to repackaging previous successes.
