9. Ouija
The Pitch: After their friend dies in a bizarre accident, a group of friends have to stare down the forces of evil through a Ouija Board. Why It Could Score 0%: Where to begin? It's produced by Michael Bay and his Platinum Dunes horror movie label, which has released a number of critically-reviled movies over the years, such as 2003's Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake (36%), 2005's The Amityville Horror remake (23%), a Texas Chainsaw prequel (12%), a remake of The Hitcher (21%), The Unborn (11%), a remake of Friday the 13th (25%), and a remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street (15%). In addition, it's directed by first-time filmmaker Stiles White, best known for writing three bad movies from the last decade: The Boogeyman (13%), Knowing (33%) and The Possession (40%). Looking at the trailer, it appears that the PG-13 rated Ouija will likely be a tame, poorly-acted horror farce that's more unintentionally funny than scary. Plus, the premise seems like it won't appeal to anyone over the age of about 15, by which point most kids have gotten that whole Ouija Board craze out of their system. Few are likely expecting the movie to be a hit with critics, so the question remains: how low will it go? Release Date: October 24th (US), October 31st (UK)
