13 Most Violent Foreign Films Since 2000

1. A Serbian Film (2010)

While many thought the downright disturbing but also hilarious Human Centipede was deranged, it really does have nothing on A Serbian Film. When an ageing porn star, Milos, agrees to participate in what he thinks is an art film, he soon discovers he has been brought in to work on a snuff film based on paedophilia and necrophilia. As he tries to back out, his situation only gets worse and he becomes part of a real living nightmare. When making its debut on the art film circuit, the film received lots of negative attention due to its graphic depiction of paedophilia, necrophilia and rape. it is seriously distasteful, which has led to bans in Spain, Portugal and Australia among others. Really, due to the nature of A Serbian Film, the less said about it the better. Defending such content as art becomes too difficult when the subject-matter is so unbelievably grotesque.
