82. Painted Sheet
You think with a movie like the Matrix, any problems that occur during filming are sorted out in post production and perhaps with CGI. But sometimes you have to go back to basic film making and employ the painted bed sheet technique. In this shot when Morpheus and Neo go to meet the Oracle, there is a close up shot of a very reflective door handle and you can clearly see that the camera is hidden under a sheet that has been painted to look like the background, including a painted tie.
81. Screws On The Outside?
Also, why are the screws of the door knob on the outside? That would make it very easy for any thief to unscrew and break into the apartment.
80. Morpheus's Awesome Glasses Again
We have already seen that Morpheus's sunglasses can change from matte to reflective by themselves, but did you know that in the name of respect, they can also disappear when entering an old lady's house. That's exactly what they do when Morpheus enters the Oracles apartment. In the door knob you can see he is wearing glasses but when he walks in, the glasses have magically disappeared.
79. It's Not The Glasses That Move, It's You!
Look at the way glasses are arranged behind Neo. The large one is sitting on top of the three little ones but in the next shot, the large one is sat on the left.
78. Camera In Shot...Again!
Neo takes some time out to do some Uri Geller spoon bending. The Matrix is victim to reflective surfaces a lot and unfortunately the same thing happens again in this scene. When Neo holds the spoon up to examine it, you can clearly see the camera reflecting back.
77. Magic Cookie
Ever finished a chocolate bar or biscuit and immediately craved another one? Well you need to ask the Oracle for her secret cookie recipe because after every delicious bite you take, the cookie regenerates itself.
