10. Paulie's Robot in Rocky IV
I find this robot creepy, especially after Paulie programmed it with the feminine voice. On the other hand, Paulie's robot is an outstanding example of robots obeying the Three Laws. I think if I were a robot and someone as smarmy as Paulie made me obey the Second Law and speak with a feminine voice, I would violate the First Law and kill my smarmy master. Then I would violate the Third Law and self-terminate out of shame for my feminine voice.
9. Revenge of the Nerds Robot
Come on, how can you NOT think this is one of the greatest robots ever. It'll clean your house for you. It can help you locate a place to live. It seems incapable of violating the Three Laws. An Omega Mu girl thinks robots are sexy. You may have forgotten this guy, but I sure haven't.
8. Tin Woodman in Wizard of Oz
How often do you think of the Tin Man as an android? Well, that's exactly what he is. The Tin Man is another hyper-follower of the First Law. In the
Oz series of books, he protects anything and everything that crosses his path. He's not much different in the movie. Alternatively known as Tin Woodsman (but not by
Wizard of Oz author L. Frank Baum), Nick Chopper, and Tin Man; the Tin Woodman's original human body was slowly replaced by tin due to a series of accidents with his cursed axe (that darn Wicked Witch of the East!). The Tin Woodman is still alive, but his entire body has been replaced by machinery. To add to the creepiness, author L. Frank Baum lets us know in his book
The Tin Woodman of Oz that the original flesh and bone head of Nick Chopper, which is still alive in the cabinet of tinsmith Ku-Klip, finds it ludicrous that the Tin Woodman considers himself the real Nick Chopper.
