14 Crazy Facts You Just Have To Accept To Enjoy The DCEU

Most likely the biggest problem facing the DCEU is the abundance of executive meddling: the big-wigs think they know what will make the most money, but BvS and SS unequivocally proved that their top-level editing choices probably cost each movie a few hundred million dollars, if not more.

BvS in particular should've been an effortless $1 billion movie, but bad word-of-mouth left it surprisingly short of that target, and though fans are doubtless hoping Warner will learn their lesson with Justice League by appointing Geoff Johns as the franchise "Godfather", it'd be a major surprise if executives took a real hands-off approach in the editing room.

We'd all love to never hear another story about DCEU directors being strong-armed into cutting out subplots, but knowing the film business, Warner will simply learn the wrong lessons from the underperformance of these three movies.
