11. Kit Harrington Is Playing Black Knight In The Eternals

This one wasn't initially part of the official D23 panels, but in an exciting bit of side information, it turned out that Kit Harington - of course most famous as Game Of Thrones' Jon Snow - was in talks to join the MCU. After some serious speculation that he might end up playing Batman, it appears Marvel have stolen a march on DC to bring another Thrones veteran into the franchise after Peter Dinklage and Richard Madden.

According to Deadline, Harington was currently working on a deal to join the behemoth franchise, with the report suggesting that he's set to appear in an upcoming film.

And then, just as quickly as we were all getting excited about speculating, D23 confirmed exactly who he's playing and where he will appear. He's set to appear as Dane Whitman, otherwise known as The Black Knight in The Eternals. He's another character who was long linked with a role in the MCU and the rumours have finally become concrete.
