7. Mark Wahlberg Dies Mysteriously - Transformers: The Last Knight

Before Transformers: The Last Knight even hit cinemas, Mark Wahlberg confirmed that it would be his final film in the franchise, requiring a new lead to be sought out for the planned sixth film.

Considering that Shia LaBeouf's Sam Witwicky was implied to have died before The Last Knight, there's already a precedent for the franchise killing off its former protagonists, so don't be surprised if the natural consequence of Wahlberg's departure is that his Cade Yeager dies...somehow.
