14 Upcoming Movie Sequels Nobody Asked For

1. Toy Story 4

Pirates Of The Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales
Disney

Release Date: June 15, 2018

2010's Toy Story 3 seemed to close the franchise out in practically perfect fashion with an extremely satisfying conclusion which most fans rightly assumed would be the end of the series.

In late 2014, it was confirmed that a fourth film would happen, apparently revolving around Woody and Buzz's search for Bo Peep, who was conspicuously absent from the third film.

Widespread exasperation followed: after three universally-beloved movies that gave these characters such a brilliantly emotional goodbye, why undermine all that with what many are already dismissing as a cash-grab?

Could It Be Any Good?: Betting against Pixar is rarely a good idea, and with Pixar honcho John Lasseter directing, there's virtually no chance of it being a bad movie.

At the same time, anything less than excellence will see the movie taken to task for being a needless sequel, and it's hard to believe that Pixar can land four near-perfect Toy Story movies in a row.

It'll be good, but probably still feel pretty damn unnecessary.

What's your take on these upcoming movie sequels? Shout it out in the comments!
