Release Date: November 22

The Plot: 12-year-old Miguel Rivera (Anthony Gonzalez) wants nothing more than to be a musician, even though his family staunchly disapproves.

Miguel and his dog Dante end up traveling to the Land of the Dead, where they meet Hector (Gael GarcĂa Bernal), a skeleton trickster who needs Miguel's help to reach the land of the living. In turn, Hector will help Miguel find out the truth behind his family's mysterious history with music.

Why You'll Cry: For starters, it's a Pixar film, and they've got a damn fine history of wringing tears from audiences for decades. Plus, Coco is being directed by Lee Unkrich, the filmmaker who broke an entire generation of young-adults with Toy Story 3, so it's safe to say he has strong experience in making the emotional most of his material.

Considering that the film is clearly focused on themes of mortality and family, it's not going to have to work too hard to be poignant and touching. If even just a sprinkle of that usual Pixar magic is there, people are going to lose it.
