15 Actors Who Desperately Need A Hit
2. Katherine Heigl
Katherine Heigl's career peak was undeniably from 2005 to 2010, where she starred in Grey's Anatomy, and enjoyed a string of hits with the likes of Knocked Up, 27 Dresses, The Ugly Truth and Life as We Know It.
Since then, her only two hits have been ensemble rom-com New Year's Eve and animated film The Nut Job, neither of which were a success because of her.
These days, most of Heigl's output ends up going straight-to-VOD, with her lack of major roles being attributed to her difficult-to-work-with reputation and a general audience dislike for the personalities of her characters.
Almost nobody is beyond a PR resuscitation, though, so all it takes is a fantastic role in a comedy to turn audiences around on her. Then again, if she continues badmouthing people she works with (as she did to both Judd Apatow and the Grey's Anatomy writers), then she may end up burning too many bridges to come back from.
