15 Actors Who Should Be Cast In The MCU's Fantastic Four

14. Michael Cudlitz - The Thing

For you Walking Dead fans out there, Michael Cudlitz may be best remembered as playing Abraham Ford in the AMC drama. He also had a leading role in HBO's Band of Brothers and the crime drama Southland.

Simply put, Cudlitz has range, and has carved a career out of being the big guy with a soft heart. His voice is recognisable and powerful, which would make him a perfect shoo-in to play Ben Grimm/The Thing. Grimm is the most tragic figure in the Fantastic Four, and also the most endearing. This is the kind of character Cudlitz was born to play.

Whether we get to see an origins of the team or not (something brilliantly skipped over by Spiderman: Homecoming) will of course depend on how much we see of Cudlitz himself, but given the strength and intimidation of his voice, it's doubtful it will matter. Plus, a big box office presence is long overdue for the guy, and this may the perfect role to usher in a new era for his career.
