15 Actors You Totally Forgot Were In DC Comic Book Movies

8. Larry Hagman

The Movie: Superman

Role: Major

Though he's far better known for his role as patriarch JR Ewing in Dallas, and for I Dream Of Jeanie before that, Larry Hagman was a prolific TV and TV movie star throughout the 60s, 70s and 80s. And the same year he started earning his crust as one of the most valued soap stars of the late 70s, he also appeared in a short cameo in Richard Donner's Superman, as the major whose nukes are stolen by Lex Luthor.

Hagman was actually only intended to be on set for 3 days for the cameo, but thanks to unpredictable weather on the Calgary set, he ended up being stuck there for closer to a month. That's a lot for a momentary raise of the eyebrows at his presence.
