Plot: A true story based on the life of Gertrude Bell, a British explorer, spy, archaeologist and political attache for the British Empire at the dawn of the Twentieth Century.
Reasons to Be Excited: You might expect an epic and lavish period drama with a plot like this which features Bell's real-life encounters with T.E Lawrence (Pattinson) and Henry Cadogan (Franco) but seeing as this is directed by eccentric German Director Werner Herzog expect an obsessed protagonist with an impossible dream in his first biopic since the excellent Grizzly Man.
Release Date: TBC but expect it's premiere to be at the Telluride Film Festival in September
