12. Sandra Woosan a.k.a Lady Shiva
Another of Bruce Waynes trainers, much like The Huntress she was initially conceived as a villain but over time has grown more ambiguous and has been increasingly linked to the Batman canon of comics. Basically, Lady Shiva is an assassin for hire who specialises in hand to hand combat; shes actually one of the most skilled and deadly bare-hand fighters in the DC Universe. In comic book Lore, Wayne asked Lady Shiva to help not only heal his body after Bane breaks his back, but also his soul after the recent loss of Tim Drake (Robin) at the hands of the Joker. This could fit neatly into Nolans continuity; perhaps thats the very reason he leaves Gotham at the end of TDKR, to go see Lady Shiva. Again, shed perhaps ideally be used as part of a flashback sequence but maybe she could return to Gotham, maybe even with Bruce Wayne as her current target. After Nolans Bane admittedly itd be strange seeing Batman having his Bat-ass handed to him by a female character but keep in mind that the franchise needs to stay fresh and original if it hopes to remain popular. There have been few female villains in the Batman movie continuity (Talia al Ghul in TDKR and Poison Ivy in Batman and Robin, but lets push that from our minds shall we?) I wouldnt say no to a few more; perhaps Lady Shiva could be up next.
