2. Skin Ripped Clean Off - Silent Hill

Silent Hill was a visually stunning but ultimately incoherent and unintentionally hilarious adaptation of the legendary video game, but nobody was laughing when Pyramid Head opted to kill one poor woman in pretty much the most horrific and humiliating way possible.

As Silent Hill transforms into its hellish night-time counterpart, the legendary video game boss shows up, grabs cult member Anna, tears her clothes off and then does one better by ripping her skin clean off too.

The grotesque digital effect of Anna's skin getting disgustingly contorted before it rips off and the masses of gore that comes with it make this an all-timer movie death even if the film generally let fans down.
