15 Awesome Scenes From Trailers That Were Stupidly Cut From The Film

13. Batman Forever

There€'s an unwritten rule in Batman movies that an interesting supporting character has to be recast before their role gets meaty. Katie Holmes gave way to Maggie Gylenhall, a love interest damsel not to be saved from distress, and Billy Dee Williams lost the chance to claim a second iconic role when Warner Bros. didn't want a black Two-Face and went with the also multiple-named Tommy Lee Jones.

Not to throw audiences in the deep end, Warner deftly used the trailers to reintroduce us to a Harvey Dent that had inexplicably changed race and suddenly developed a bad case of eczema, providing multiple opportunities to set up the new character€'s ticks . And yes, you guessed it, one of these doesn't appear in the film. The moment in the trailer when Dent goes "if the Bat wants to play, we€'ll play€", a line that does further blur Dent and the Joker (a big problem in that film), is conspicuously absent from the final cut.
