15 Awful Films Justice League Actors Want You To Forget
7. Dragonfly (2002) - Kevin Costner
RottenTomatoes Score: 7% The Plot: Joe Darrow (Costner) is a doctor who just recently lost his wife in a freak bus accident, because she decided to help natives in the Amazon while seven freaking months pregnant. Her body is never found, and soon enough, Joe begins to be contacted by his wife through her patients (she was also a doctor, you see). What is she trying to tell Joe? Why It Sucks: Let's face it: this is a pretty outrageous premise as it stands, and sadly none of the actors, most of all Costner, can do anything to sell it. It's schmaltzy, unintentionally funny, poorly acted (especially by some of the kids in the hospital), cribs ideas from numerous better supernatural mystery movies, and is trying way, way too hard to wring tears from your eyes. The ironic result is that the only tears likely to flow are from excessive laughter: it's so solemn and self-serious that it's pretty damn impossible to take seriously, and even with Costner's rather inconsistent CV to date, this one takes the cake. Yep, it has even worse reviews than The Postman, but only just.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
