15 Awful Films Terminator Actors Want You To Forget

2. Exodus: Gods & Kings (2014) - Christian Bale

RottenTomatoes Score: 27% The Plot: A retelling of the Book of Exodus, where Moses (Bale) leads a revolution against Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses (Joel Edgerton), building to the inevitable Ten Plagues being unleashed upon the populous by God. Why It Sucks: Ridley Scott serves up another in a long line of disappointments, and this one just so happens to also be tortuously long to boot. Yes, the plague scenes later in the movie do deliver on their promises of effects-heavy mayhem, but it's one hell of a slog getting there, and surprisingly dull given the iconic subject matter. Despite costing $140 million and naturally drawing in the religious crowd, Exodus came and went without much fanfare, bombing with critics and underwhelming financially also. Bale's used to weathering a shoddy blockbuster or two on his filmography, though: just look at Terminator Salvation.
