15 Badasses We Would Like To See In The Expendables 3

11. Vin Diesel

Something quite unusual has happened to Diesel recently, he has been given a second bite of the cherry. After the blinding one-two of The Fast & The Furious and Pitch Black, a young Diesel looked destined for the stuff of hero legend. Sadly, he made a few wrong choices (namely a series of crap films), and soon found himself overtaken by numerous other contenders. However, the two franchises that brought him into the limelight are now gracing him with a second wind, and Diesel looks to be ready for action once more. Unlike some of his contemporaries, Diesel has that gruff rawness often associated with many of the names attached to The Expendables franchise, so he would be an excellent addition to the cast. A potential introduction could come through associations with Terry Crews€™ Hale Caesar, and would see the two often teaming up with gigantic guns. Bitchin€™! Possible Weapon: Some sort of ridiculously massive machine gun.

12. Clint Eastwood

One of the original tough guys, Eastwood is now pushing 82 so there is little chance of seeing him rolling around among exploding tanks and burning buildings. But that doesn€™t mean that the legendary actor isn€™t able to make an appearance in The Expendables 3. Even now, Eastwood still has the fire and spit to sound like Wolverine€™s granddad and is more than capable of at least snarling and shooting a few baddies at close range. Although the age gap isn€™t overly appropriate, film logic states that Eastwood would be old enough to play Stallone€™s father. So wouldn€™t it be cool to bring Dirty Harry into The Expendables universe, by having a Harrison Ford / Sean Connery style team up of father and son. This would pave the way for lots of comic tension and witty banter about €œkids of today€-style action. We€™d all feel like mighty lucky punks to see this one take place. Possible Weapon: I hate to be predictable, but it has to be a .44 Magnum.
