15 Best Movies About Drugs And Addiction In Cinema History

5. Enter The Void

With Irreversible, you could feel Gaspar Noe's hands reaching out and stroking the brains of his audience. The French director goes one further with Enter The Void, brazenly slapping his hands on the minds of his viewers and giddily spinning them around. A beautiful yet nauseating experience, Enter The Void is a twisted, psychedelic DMT trip seen through the eyes of its protagonist. Noe€™s camera zips and winds itself through the bright fluorescent lights of the Japanese capital, creating a vicarious drug-induced high that reaches beyond the eyes and tingles the senses. He's showing off alright, but it's difficult not to be impressed. Enter The Void is a typically provocative work by Noe, but it's also an incredible cinematic effort to depict drug intoxication and disembodiment. If you fancy something a little different, look no further.
