Luca Guadagnino's Suspiria remake may have sharply divided audiences and critics alike, but there was near-universal acclaim for the gorgeous musical score courtesy of Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke.

The title track, "Suspirium", made it onto the Best Original Song Oscar shortlist, though inexplicably failed to make the final five-song cut.

Nevertheless, like the entirety of Yorke's score, it boasts a wonderful stripped-down simplicity which reflects the movie's own washed-out, restrained reinterpretation of Dario Argento's iconic original film.

The hypnotic piano work combines with Yorke's aching vocals to make this one of the most entrancingly sad movie songs of the past year.
