Scarlett Johansson stars as Lucy, a student who unwittingly becomes a drugs mule for a dangerous gangster. When a bag of drugs sewn into her abdomen ruptures, Lucy begins to experience increasingly heightened mental and physical abilities.

It's a pulsating action thriller and if you're familiar with Luc Besson's work you'll recognise the gritty, explosive action of Leon and the silly yet satisfying science fiction style of The Fifth Element.

Lucy doesn't get bogged down with silly details like scientific accuracy or common logic but it succeeds in being exactly what it wants to be: a stylish, wacky and wildly entertaining sci-fi/action romp.
