12. Iron Man 3
Another MCU film and another one of its greatest flicks, this was controversial due to a certain plot twist but Iron Man 3 is still a very fine superhero film indeed and that should not be forgotten just because of one plot element.
Armed with a superb and hilarious script from writer-director Shane Black, a terrific leading performance from Robert Downey Jr and awesome action sequences, Iron Man 3 is a hugely effective combination of pathos, comedy and thrills that was exactly what everyone needed after the bitterly disappointing Iron Man 2. In fact, it's even better than the first Iron Man film from 2008.
it is a bit too long and some great actors are wasted, but other than that this reaches heights that few other superhero threequels have ever reached, making it not only one of the best MCU films, but easily one of the best films in the billion-dollar club.
