15 Best Superhero Movie Costumes Ever
14. Rorschach (Watchmen)
As understandably divisive as Zack Snyder's Watchmen is, there's little arguing with the film's wonderful rendition of anti-hero Rorschach, wonderfully performed by Jackie Earle Haley in one of the most comic-accurate costumes in superhero movie history.
The brown trenchcoat and hat are one thing - clearly intended to serve as an homage to the heroes of classic film noir - but what really takes this costume to the next level is the inkblot mask itself, with digital trickery allowing the ink to move around the mask at will. As often as Snyder's movies flagrantly abuse visual effects, this was 100% appropriate use.
This is a rarest of comic book movie costumes that's pretty much note-perfect, honestly. It's a tight translation of how it appears on the page, bolstered by an impossibly brilliant spot of casting.
