15 Biggest Questions Still Left By 2018 Movies

12. How Is The Monster So Much Bigger? - The Cloverfield Paradox

While the monster in the first Cloverfield movie was big, coming in at around 300ft, it's nothing compared to the one that appears at the end of The Cloverfield Paradox, which towers above the clouds.

The Cloverfield Paradox wasn't exactly a great entry into the franchise, but it does make some important additions and changes to the established timeline. Most notably, it takes place in 2028, but also seems to give witness to the creation - or at least, unleashing - of the monster that would plague the first movie.

That one, of course, was set in 2008. J.J. Abrams has said this is the same creature, so how was it 'small' in 2008, giant now, but only just created in this timeline too? Is it the same dimension, or a different one, and just what sort of ripples in time have been created for that to happen? And, of course, there's the question of whether there'll even be another Cloverfield movie after the relative failure of this one.
