15 Characters That Nearly Appeared In The Suicide Squad

2. Mister Freeze

Deathstroke Suicide Squad
DC Comics

Let's be honest - if there was one thing The Suicide Squad film was strongly lacking in, it was ice puns. And James Gunn could've fixed that if he added in the man who mastered absolute zero - Mister Freeze.

While performing an experiment to save his terminally ill wife, the cryonic doctor, Victor Fries, was exposed to a chemical that made him lethally allergic to heat. Incasing himself in a bulletproof suit, the deranged scientist became a supervillain called Mister Freeze, hoping to find a cure for his wife's illness. Armed with a plethora of ice-themed weapons, Freeze became one the most feared men in Gotham.

Freeze may have been a forgettable character in the comics at first but he's now regarded as one of Batman's most recurring foes. In fact, the ice-blasting menace is so well-known nowadays, people forget he hasn't appeared in a live-action movie in 24 years.

Because the character was adapted terribly in Batman & Robin, it would've been cool (cold pun) to see Freeze done justice on the big screen for the first time.
