15 Chilling Movie Villains That Are Harrowing To Watch

Takashi Miike's brilliant horror film Audition is not only the best Torture Porn Horror film of all time, but it also contains one of cinema's greatest female villains.

Asami Yamazaki is a sadistic killer who tortures and murders men who she feels have betrayed or neglected her. Driven into madness following years of abuse from her stepfather, Asami likes to mutilate her victims, chop body parts off and even feed them their own vomit, making her an unusually depraved character.

Obviously there is sympathy for her given the appalling trauma she suffered, but that doesn't make her any less terrifying. Once you watch the film, it will be virtually impossible to get the image of her giggling and chanting "Kiri, kiri, kiri!" while calmly inserting sharp needles into the protagonist's eyelids out of your head, while the image of an imprisoned, mutilated man hungrily eating Asami's vomit will make you want to (ahem) throw up.

Cold, sinister, calm and brilliantly played by actress Eihi Shiina, Asami is one of cinema's best horror movie monsters. She's also responsible for the most painful torture scene in film history, so there's that too.
