15 Devilishly Clever Movie Secrets You Probably Missed

14. There's A Simpsons Reference In Godzilla

The Simpsons Tarmin Tamzarian
Fox

This is possibly the most random and obscure Easter egg in this film, but for some reason, it is there, and is most definitely deliberate. During the taxi chase scene, the identification card of Matthew Broderick's driver is seen. The name on the card: "Armin Tamzarian," the real name of Principal Skinner on the popular TV show The Simpsons.

So how do we know this isn't just some random name a lazy art department member thought up when he or she was creating the ID card?

Well, the film co-stars actors Hank Azaria and Harry Shearer, both of whom voice characters on The Simpsons - Shearer himself providing the voice of Principal Skinner. The film also features a cameo from Nancy Cartwright, who provides the voice of Bart Simpson on the show.
