12. Batman Pays Homage To Its Creator
Tim Burton's 1989 adaptation of Batman owes more to Frank Miller's dark, brooding graphic novels from the '80s than its original, campier incarnation. But Burton is not one to ignore his roots, and so early in his film, he managed to sneak in a little nod to Batman's original creator.
In an early scene, reporter Alexander Knox walks into his office and is handed a sketch of The Batman. The signature on the bottom left of the sketch belongs to none other than Bob Kane, the creator of the original Batman comic strip back in 1939.
