9. Artemis Fowl
Artemis Fowl is quite a unique movie, as it is the first that Disney have decided to pull from a theatrical release in favour of sending it straight to Disney+. There is currently no confirmed date for when the movie will drop on the streaming service, but it will certainly be this year, and if it goes well, you can expect to see a few more take the same route.
The movie, based on book one of Eoin Colfer's eight part series, will be directed by Thor and Cinderella director, Kenneth Branagh, who has had the benefit of an incredible cast to work with. Josh Gad, Colin Farrell, and Judi Dench will all feature, behind newcomer Ferdia Shaw.
Shaw's character, the titular Artemis, is a super intelligent child looking to follow in the criminal footsteps of his father, while battling against trolls and other mysterious creatures. The movie looks like a bizarre cross between Men in Black and Fantastic Beasts!
