15 Doctors Crazier Than Hannibal Lecter

4. Dr Lorca - Mad Doctor Of Blood Island

Hannibal NBC
Independent International

While researching “the medical uses of chlorophyll” on a remote island in the Philippines, Dr Lorca creates several green-skinned monsters that stalk the town’s bustiest young women, killing anyone who stumbles across his secret.

Fortunately, American missionary John Ashley is on the island to stop the menace before it wipes out the female population. Confronting Lorca in his lair (like all mad doctors, he has an underground lair protected by armed guards), Ashley tells the doc he’s insane, to which Lorca replies, “Perhaps. After all these years, it wouldn’t surprise me.”

Despite being strangled by one of the creatures in a burning laboratory at the film’s climax, Lorca returns in the sequel, Beast Of Blood, ranting about how he’s “madder than ever” in between talking to the creature’s still-living disembodied head.
