15 Early Predictions For 2018 Oscars

11. Coco Wins Best Animated Film

After The Good Dinosaur and Finding Dory were a little shy of Pixar's usual high standard, they're looking to get back to brilliant usual with their new project, Coco, a Day of the Dead-inspired animation starring Gael Garcia Bernal and Benjamin Bratt.

The little shown off so far looks typically gorgeous, and with Disney not releasing any movies this year, Pixar's line to the podium could be largely unopposed.

After all, the Academy didn't nominate The Lego Movie so The Lego Batman Movie doesn't stand a chance, Despicable Me 3 will probably be fun but insubstantial, and the inevitable arty pics rarely win because so few people actually watch them.

Unless Coco is resoundingly average or worse, it's probably got this sewn up already.
