12. Captain America: The Winter Soldier - "Before We Get Started, Does Anyone Wanna Get Out?"
Captain America isn't many people's favourite Avenger. The overly patriotic, overly serious superhero that is obsessed with political correctness and questions the morality in every decision that has ever been made doesn't strike you as the sort of person that you'd like to go to the pub with. However, that looks like it may be about to change with the trailer for the second post-Avengers film - Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It opens with Chris Evans' super-soldier flirting with Black Widow, making light work out of the fact that all of his old friends from the '40s are dead, and then throwing himself out of a plane without a parachute. Cocky, but certainly likeable. That's not to say that 'Cap' has gone full Tony Stark on us. He still has some morality issues throughout the trailer, questioning the world that we live in and confusing freedom with fear in a brush with Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury. The red, white and blue tights are going to prove once again that superhero films can have a fair bit of depth and weight behind them. But don't worry, he seems to have picked up a thing or two from his fellow Avengers when it comes to having fun whilst beating the crap out of bad guys. Chief scene in suggesting this is when he sarcastically gives a group of henchmen the opportunity to leave the lift before disposing of them all. It looks as if it could be one of the standout moments in the film, which would be a crying shame, but the scene looks as if it has been largely chopped down, hopefully leaving for some more close-proximity violence next April.
