8. Jopling Dies - The Grand Budapest Hotel

As Gustave H. (Ralph Fiennes) hangs perilously off a cliff edge following a hilarious sled chase, assassin J.G. Jopling (Willem Dafoe) approaches to do away with him once and for all. All Gustave can do is watch as Jopling stamps on the icy cliff edge, while his only possibility of saviour, his cohort Zero (Tony Revolori), is buried in the ice following their sled crash. Gustave begins reciting a sombre poem as he comes to accept his death while Jopling continues stamping away at the ice, only for Zero to come running up behind Jopling, shoving him off the top of the cliff to his death. Extra hilarity points for Gustave saying, "Holy s***, you got him!", a ridiculously over-the-top stock scream as Jopling falls to his death, and the brilliant shot composition which allows the audience to see Jopling take a long, satisfying plunge all the way to the ground.
