10. Zootopia - DMV
Zootopia is one of those animated films that is clever enough to entertain both kids and adults. The best example of this is the scene in which Officer Judy Hopps (Gennifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) visit the DMV.
Looking to run a license plate number, Judy is horrified to see the whole place is run by sloths (well played). The whole process is so painfully slow and it gets funnier and funnier the longer it goes on. Then Nick interrupts the work to tell one of the sloths a joke. After the punchline, there is a long pause and then we see the sloth's hysterical slow motion reaction. It's priceless.
It's actually a fairly bold move to include such a purposely slow-moving scene in a kids movie, but the whole thing works so well. It goes on for just long enough that it never moves from being funny to annoying. It's an absolute highlight from a very clever movie.
