15 Greatest Ever Guilty Pleasure Action Movies

4. Fast Five

Now I know what some of you might be thinking and yes, the sequels to this movie go bigger and are even more ridiculous but this is the one where the Fast & Furious movies figured what they were meant to be. Ignore the previous entries in this series, you won€™t need to see them to understand this. Paul Walker and Vin Diesel assemble a team to take down a drug lord because they don€™t like him and they want his money. They don't even need character names. I'm pretty sure everyone is just acting as themselves. The Rock appears on this list again and for good reason. The injection of Agent Hobbs is exactly what these movies needed. His sheer size as an opponent and overall charm elevate the levels of excitement. It's uncomfortable for any of us to admit we might like a Vin Diesel movie, but the real star in this movie is the stunt work. Director Justin Lin relied heavily on practical stunt work and minimal special effects. All of that gives the stunts a sense of realism in this otherwise hyperbolic world of cops and criminals. The best two action scenes being the foot chase through the streets of a shantytown and the final heist sequence. At over two hours long, this one could have been tighter but you can easily just skip through it for the action sequences. Best line: "Aright listen up! The guys we're after are professional runners. They like speed and are guaranteed to go down the hardest possible way so make sure you've got your thunderwear on. We find 'em we take 'em as a team and we bring 'em back. And above all else we don't ever, ever let them get into cars." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mw2AqdB5EVA
