Not subscribing to the convention of the little green man, H. R. Giger's alien design has been one of the most prolific in science fiction - and it's for a reason.

Giant in stature, impossible to evade, and dark enough to slip away into any shadowy recess, there's plenty on paper alone that makes the alien the perfect horror villain - and that's without mention of it's attack abilities or, you know, acid blood.
